The room was really clean and nice, we were greeted by a friendly lady called Natalie, who arranged us with wifi codes and advice for taxis. There is a nice park to walk around across the street, there is also a Beefeater pub and restaurant right next door for drinks and food.

Only bedside lights working, ceiling lights not working, desk lamp missing, bathroom Only one small spot light working.
Set heating to 20° woke up at 1.30am room red hot, looked at the thermostat and it was on 27° so had to switch it all off.
Room required a refurbishment.
Won't be stopping there again.

Heading down to see family for Christmas. Room was one of the smallest I've stayed in, with not much space between the bed and the left and right walls.
USB A at the bedsides, only power outlets are at the desk at the foot end of the bed.
Staff were very friendly, offering to make a booking for breakfast at the beefeater next door.
Registration was taken at reception for free parking, unsure if that was just for the Christmas season, or if they don't charge for parking usually despite the signage saying its 5 pounds per night.

I never ever leave reviews but was left so annoyed after the service I received at breakfast this morning from the guy who was supposedly in charge where his rudeness was off the scale. Not just to me but to everyone in the restaurant. Needless to say I’ll not be visiting here again.

I came to this hotel last year as well and in this week as well. The is in a good area of Basildon which is safe. This time the room given to me was not properly cleaned. There was used mug and towel. They should focus on ensuring that room service is done properly. They should also spray room freshness’s jn the room and in the breakfast area. Also i would recommend to have more better options in the breakfast.
They prepare fresh cooked meal for every person which is good but yes would love to have more options.
Overall i believe it is a good place but not much happening.

Stated here before unfortunately it was a better experience then. There is a machine sound in the background and took a night or 2 to get use to it.

And you have to pay for parking even if your robbed.

Ladies on reception were very nice & helpful. Had an accessible room on ground floor which was great. only one little thing I couldn't change the room temperature (I would have liked it a bit cooler).Had a very quiet night, would stay again.

Stayed here for onward travel to a London event, hotel is fairly tired and not sure if it's the norm but the room was 26c all night so had to run the provided fan so not the best night's sleep. Very basic and in need of a bit of a refurb, But staff were friendly and polite. Tried to get an evening meal on arrival at the adjacent beefeater after traveling 3.1/2hrs but after a 15min wait were told no walkings due to staffing issues. Not sure if I'd chose this hotel again.

We were served at front desk by a lovely lady called Natalie and she was so pleasant and helpful with information and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. Many thanks to her and hopefully the rest of our stay is going to be amazing, shame about the air con they could do with having that working but provided fans and windows open so not too bad, is as good as premier inns always are and the area with the beefeater outside is very nice and the place is clean good stay so far much appreciated

Hotel reception staff were nice, helpful and room was clean and tidy.
Avoid the restaurant. Breakfast took an hour and a half when ordered and staff member was rude and abrupt whenever asked. If we hadn’t prepaid would have just left. Was close to doing so anyway.
When food did come it was undercooked as had clearly then been rushed.
If staying here would strongly suggest going elsewhere for breakfast.

From the start of our visit we were very impressed, having 2 out of 3 of us with mobilty issues, there were ramps wheel chair lift into the restaurant. The receptionist was absolute star helping and giving advice on taxis, she couldn't be more helpful and made our stay even more enjoyable. The accessible rooms were very well laid out - loads of grab/ support handles in the bathroom a seat in the shower good and spacious a very good wet room. The receptionist advised us to book our table for breakfast, as it gets very busy at weekends, with us also needing a table on the flat ( no stairs ) so pleased we precooked it well done that receptionist.
If we are in the area again we will definitely stay again.

Room was basic but clean and the beds are always sooooo comfortable. Arrived past midnight and was surprised to walk in to my room and find two fans whirling away. Nice touch. The room was warm so these were well needed. Breakfast service was disappointing. Tiny portions and pretty dirty all round. Cutlery dirty, cups dirty, underside of plates dirty. Floors covered in coffee grinds, spilt cereal and other crunchy stuff. I had to brush all the food debris off my chair before I sat down. Everything's set up to be in the way of something else. Nothing is really stocked up. Staff (with the exception of one lad) couldn't be less interest in customer interaction if they tried. Took far too long for them to realise I'd still not had my order taken! Shame. If you're used to a good PI breaky, I'd skip this one. As for the rest, yeah, not a bad hotel 😉

Recently renovated rooms, I like the new layout. Good breakfast and excellent staff. Highly recommend.
